Everything you need to know before you come
Kestrel Ridge is free and open to the public every day of the year, from sunrise to sunset. There’s no gate, no ticket booth, and no reservation required for a day visit — just park, grab a trail map from the kiosk, and go.
Hours
Open daily, sunrise to sunset. The visitor kiosk is staffed Saturdays and Sundays, 9am to 4pm.
Admission
Free for everyone. Parking is free at both the Ridgeline Road and Wetland Overlook lots.
Dogs
Welcome on-leash on all trails except the Wetland Boardwalk, where ground-nesting birds are protected.
Groups and schools
We host school field trips, scout troops, and birding clubs throughout the school year. Ranger-led walks run about 90 minutes and can be scheduled for groups of up to 30. There’s no charge, but we ask that groups larger than 10 give us at least two weeks’ notice so we can schedule a ranger.

Getting here
The main entrance and Ridgeline Road parking lot are at 4400 Ridgeline Road, Alder Hollow, VT 05477. A smaller lot near the Wetland Boardwalk is reachable from Marsh View Lane. Both lots have accessible parking spaces near the trailheads.
